Welcome to the Canadian Consumer Rewards Coalition.
The CCRC is here to represent the collective voice of Canadian consumers and ensure that governments across Canada act with your best interests in mind.

Canadians have already added their names. Join our growing list of supporters.
Every day, millions of Canadians use reward-based credit cards to make purchases from basic necessities to fun and novelty items, collecting reward points while doing so. The CCRC fights to protect Canadians’ hard-earned points and rewards, and their ability to keep collecting and using them against any encroachment by government or other groups. We have been able to do so thanks to the support of everyday Canadians across the country. Join us to help us keep up our fight.
Why rewards matter.

About 90% of Canadians own at least one credit card. And 72% of those are reward-based cards through which users collect points they can exchange for everything from groceries and gas to flights and vacations. The average Canadian family earns more than $500 worth of reward points each year. Canadians rely on their rewards to make life easier, more fun, and more affordable. Recent surveys show that nearly 75% of all Canadians have relied on their rewards to make a purchase in the past. Whether times are tough or not, rewards are there to ensure Canadians live more fulfilling lives more affordably.

Canadians’ rewards are at risk.
For years, retail businesses have been pressuring the Canadian government to lower credit card transaction fees known as interchange fees. These fees are in part what funds and makes rewards possible, along with other perks of paying by credit card. If fees are cut, reward points could be scaled back or disappear entirely, costing hundreds of dollars every year to Canadian families.  Learn more about interchange fees and how they are connected to your credit card rewards here.
